Played: 179 | Download | Duration: 00:49:46

Here is part 2 of Episode 23. On this show, Tom and I will be going over the novel, “Shatterpoint” by Matthew Stover. Hope you enjoy our review, and remember to send us in your emails. Finally we want to let you know that the answers to the last show’s trivia segment are due by August 27th, and here are those questions again:

Now here are the trivia questions we asked on the previous episode.
1. What is the name of the fungicide the ULF use to protect their weapons? (Shatterpoint)
2. When Nick flipped a switch, how many different droid brains felt the sudden internal alarm-buzz of sensors detecting a missile? (Shatterpoint)
3. Luke incorrectly refers to a droid as an “R2 Unit” when it’s not. Which droid was it? (ANH)
4. In the 6 Films, how many non-Jedi, and non-Sith, wield lightsabers? And who? (Saga)
5. How many “years in the making” was Star Wars, according to the original theatrical teaser trailer? (ANH)

So that’s it for this show, and may the Force be with you.

Episode 23 Part 1: Show Notes

First: This is a reposting for the show notes for Episode 23. You would have already received this Monday, however, they were pulled due to the conflict with iTunes and our site. So we are posting them separately. And again, we do apologize to those who are trying to get our show through iTunes, hopefully this gets resolved quickly.

Well, it’s been awhile, but here is Episode 23: “Shattered Windu: Part 1.” On this Episode you will hear what Tom and I have been up to, what happened with the last podcast, your emails will be read, some news, and finally our trivia section returns... without our Bothan Spy... hmmmm?

Here are the books and comics Tom will talk about. Some are out, and the rest, on their way:

For my collecting news, the following:

For my gaming news, I’ll tell you about some updates to the Old Republic website, one being the latest issues to the BLOOD OF THE EMPIRE webcomic are up. You can check them out by using the Old Republic link under “Fun and Games” on our sidebar. Also there are a lot of videos coming out, including the awesome trailer, “HOPE,” that was shown at E3. Be sure to check out our Facebook page for those videos.

Also, I mention a few tidbits on the new LEGO Clone Wars game. Lastly in gaming news, Tom and I discuss the new game coming out for the Xbox 360’s KINECT.

Now here are the trivia questions we asked on this episode.
(ANH)

Well, that’s all we have for you on this episode, and remember this is only Part 1. Look for Part 2 to be coming out in the next couple weeks. On that episode we will be reviewing the Matthew Stover novel, Shatterpoint. Which of course features the only Jedi bad enough to wield a Purple Lightsaber on screen, Mace Windu. Ok, that’s it, so may the Force be with you!

Here is the “HOPE” trailer for THE OLD REPUBLIC:

Episode 22 - "Empire Strikes 30"

Played: 227 | Download | Duration: 01:47:11

Wow, believe it or not, the Empire Strikes Back turned 30 years old, and we are going to talk about it. Well, actually Tom and I are going to talk about the differences between what shows up in the Radio Drama and Novel, compared to the movie release. So take a listen to Episode 22 - “Empire Strikes 30,” and enjoy.

We do have a small news segment where Tom brings you info on Celebration 5, and then we talk about the below collecting items. So click on those images and check them out. If you want to see more of what they have for the 30 years of Empire, click on the 30 image. And we give you a glimpse of what a blue Yoda might look like, as depicted in the novel, except no long white hair.

Also, here are some images of the cast of the Radio Drama, clicking this will send you to the wookieepedia entry for more information, if you want it.

And finally, we usually save this for a separate posting, but Tom and I want to send this out to Curtis 2 for being the winner of the current round of Trivia.

Well, that about wraps up this episode. Be on the lookout for some Escape Pods coming out in the next few weeks. Tom and I are going to be personally busy during this time, so we are not sure when we will be releasing our next full show, but when we do, we will be reviewing the Mace Windu novel, Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover.

We hope you like this episode. Be sure to send in your feedback so Tom and I know what kind of job we are doing. May the Force be with you.

Episode 21 - "Unduli Noted"

Played: 285 | Download | Duration: 02:38:34

Hey listeners, finally, here is Episode 21: “Unduli Noted.” Sorry that it’s taken a little while to get this show out, but hey, better late than never. For this episode, we will be reviewing the novel, The Approaching Storm, by Alan Dean Foster. We also have emails to read, our trivia returns, and the other segments that usually show (but this time in a little different order).

For our Encyclopedia Moment, we have two entries; Suubatar and the Gwurran. Below you will see the image of the suubatar and if you click on it, will be redirected to more information. However, you do not see a Gwurran, and that’s because there is no picture anywhere to be found. Sorry for that, but here is the link anyway; http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gwurran

Also, we do bring you some news, however this time it’s in a different spot. We thought we would change this up, so we could get to the review fast. So, here is what Tom had release dates for:

There was a lot of gaming news to bring you, although most I fear was a bit outdated. But none-the-less I wanted to share it with you, if you hadn’t got the chance to hear it. Below you will find picture links for the Old Republic; Webcomic, Short Story, The Holonet (which had a lot of updates, so check it out), a Web-Documentary on the Fighting, and finally there is a picture of the new Sith Lord (new book too.)

Also, I give you the release date for The Force Unleashed II, so check out the show for the date. Now I didn’t know at the time of recording, but some images have surfaced, so see below for them.

Finishing up my news, I have some information on two new mini-busts. Check them out below. I personally think the Vader is awesome, but the Tatooine He-Man ...I mean Luke, isn’t too bad either. (Also, I included 4 more links to some other mini-busts that are coming out soon, and are still available for pre-order)

So, that wraps up this show. Our next show will be out May 21st, and if that sounds like an important date, it should. Can anyone say Empire Strikes Back and 30 year anniversary in the same sentence? On that show, we will be talking about some of the differences in the novel, radio drama, and the add scenes to the Special Editions & DVDs. So be ready for that, and send in your emails about any of those or whatever else you may want to talk about.

Hope you enjoy the show, and as always, May the Force be with you.
